As a LocalZ Community Affiliate (LCA), the more businesses you reach, the more commissions you can earn for your fundraiser or cause. Outreach doesn’t have to be complicated — it just needs to be consistent and authentic.

Here are some proven strategies to help you promote LocalZ effectively and maximize your impact.


Know Your Audience

Focus your efforts on local business owners who:

  • Serve your community directly

  • Could benefit from more local exposure

  • Support fundraising causes

  • Are already active online or looking for affordable visibility

Ideal businesses include contractors, realtors, salons, gyms, restaurants, and service providers of all kinds.


Use a Personal Approach

People respond best to genuine, local outreach.

When reaching out:

  • Mention your cause and how the business listing helps both parties

  • Be transparent about the 50% commission supporting your fundraiser

  • Offer to walk them through how to sign up using your link or QR code

Example message:

“Hi [Name], I’m helping raise funds for [team/school/cause], and we’re partnered with LocalZ — a business directory that helps local companies get found. If you sign up through my link, you get listed, and our fundraiser earns 50%. Would you be willing to take a look?”
