LocalZ Support

Last Update hace 20 días

The LocalZ Business Directory is designed to help users quickly find trusted local businesses by category, location, or keyword. Whether you’re a customer looking for services or a business verifying your own listing, the search function is your starting point.

Where to Search

You can search the directory from two main locations:

  1. The LocalZ Homepage — features a search bar front and center

  2. The Directory Page — includes filters for more refined searching

Both options allow you to filter by category, location, or business name.

Step-by-Step: Search by Location and Category
  1. Go to LocalZ.net

  2. In the homepage search bar:

    • Enter your city or ZIP code

    • Select a business category (e.g., Plumbers, Accountants, Cafés)

  3. Click Search to view results in your area

  4. Browse listings by relevance, proximity, or featured status

You’ll see:

  • Business name

  • Category

  • Short preview (if the listing is claimed)

  • Map view of all matching listings in the area

  • Tags like “Featured” or “Sponsored” for promoted businesses

Search by Business Name or Keyword
  1. Use the same search bar and type the exact business name (or part of it)

  2. Add your city or ZIP code for better accuracy

  3. Hit Search to locate that business directly

  4. If it exists, click the listing to view details or claim it if applicable

Advanced Search Filters (On the Directory Page)

On the main Directory page, you can use filters to narrow your search:

  • By Category

  • By Location (City, State, ZIP)

  • By Keyword (services offered, specialties, etc.)

  • By Listing Type (Standard, Featured, Sponsored)

This makes it easier to find the most relevant results for your needs.

Tips for Accurate Searches
  • Use specific keywords (e.g., “roof repair” instead of “roof”)

  • Include your location to avoid results outside your area

  • If you don’t see your business, try alternative names or spelling variations

  • Use the map view to explore nearby listings visually

What If You Can’t Find Your Business?

If your business doesn’t appear in the search:

  • It may not be listed yet

  • You can proceed to Create a New Listing and claim it immediately

  • Make sure you use the correct business name and full address during setup
