How does the Ambassador program work?

Ambassadors in the LocalZ Community Affiliate Program, officially known as LocalZ Community Affiliate Ambassadors (LCAAs), play a key role in growing the LocalZ fundraising community by inviting others to join as LocalZ Community Affiliates (LCAs). These LCAs can be local nonprofits, school groups, churches, sports teams, or individuals who want to raise money by referring businesses to join the LocalZ Directory and Marketplace.
Each Ambassador is provided with a unique referral link and matching QR code that are used solely to invite new LCAs. When someone signs up as an LCA using that referral link, they become part of the Ambassador’s network. This connection allows the Ambassador to earn 12% of the commission that each referred LCA earns without taking anything away from the LCA’s fundraising revenue. LCAs continue to earn the full 50% commission on all business listings they refer, including renewals.
Ambassadors can find their recruitment link and QR code in their Community Affiliate Account dashboard. These can be shared through email, social media, printed flyers, or in-person events to attract new fundraisers. Once an LCA joins, they receive their own business referral tools, including their own link and QR code, to begin inviting local businesses to join the LocalZ Directory.
It’s important to clarify that LCAAs do not use their link to sign up businesses directly. Their focus is on recruiting new LCAs who will handle the business referrals. Each LCA uses a different referral link and QR code, designed specifically to track business signups and fundraising earnings.
Ambassadors have access to a network view in their dashboard, where they can see the LCAs they’ve invited, how many businesses those LCAs have referred, and how much revenue has been generated through their network. This provides visibility into the impact and growth of their outreach efforts.
Commission payouts are made twice a month, on or around the 1st and 15th, with a 14-day clearing period. The minimum payout amount is $50, and all participants must have a PayPal account to receive payments.
The Ambassador program was designed to support and expand fundraising efforts, not to compete with them. LCAs keep 100% of their commission earnings, and Ambassadors simply earn an additional layer of income by helping others start their own LocalZ fundraising journey.
