What Happens if a Business Switches Affiliates?
LocalZ Support
Last Update 2 місяці тому
Once a business signs up for a LocalZ Business Directory listing using an affiliate’s referral link or QR code, that business is permanently connected to the referring LocalZ Community Affiliate (LCA). This system ensures that affiliates are fairly credited for their outreach efforts and continue to earn ongoing commissions from their referrals.
Can a Business Be Reassigned?
No.
LocalZ does not allow businesses to be transferred or reassigned from one affiliate to another after a successful sign-up has been tracked and completed.
The first affiliate to refer the business — as confirmed by the referral link or QR code — is permanently credited
Even if the business is later contacted by a different affiliate, the original referral remains in place
This policy prevents disputes and ensures fairness across the affiliate community
How to Prevent Conflicts
To avoid duplicate outreach or confusion between affiliates:
If you’re working as part of a team or group, coordinate outreach efforts to avoid overlapping with others
Encourage businesses to use your unique link or QR code at the time of sign-up
If a business is unsure which link to use, make sure they have yours directly from you
What if a Business Signs Up Without a Link?
If a business signs up without using a referral link or QR code:
No affiliate will be credited
LocalZ cannot assign credit manually after the fact
It’s critical that the business uses your correct tracking tools when they register
Final Notes
Once a referral is recorded:
It is permanent and cannot be changed
You’ll continue to earn 50% on every renewal, as long as the business stays subscribed
If the business cancels and returns later through a new link, the original affiliate still receives credit (as long as within the 60-day cookie window)
